No anti-Semitism in Malaysia? No Islamically-driven "Jew-hatred"? Don't make me laugh. It hurts too much.

THE MAJORITY RACE UNDER MAHATHIR IS ANTI USA, ANTI ISRAEL, ANTI SINGAPORE, ANTI CHINA, ANTI OTHER RELIGIONS, ANTI CROSSES, ANTI PIGS, ANTI DOGS. MAKES YOU WONDER IF THEY HAVE ANY FRIENDS.

I concur with @Enlighten25/Jan/2019 at 10:04:55am - about the Quran views on the Jews. Any tom dick and harry studying Islamic classes will agree with the above mentioned views of anti Jews. Jews are said to be the "destroyer" of Islam religion, which is accepted by all muslims (except Sister for Islam??? - with modern interpretations???).

DrM is old school anti semitism and old school national car. He cant let go. But the country needs a ‘technocrat’ and he is the best.

      Umar Muttaqi07:35 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Its Mahathir's agenda and very consistent. The more you open your mouth, the more its obvious what a hypocrite Malaysia is. In Malaysia you alienate non Malay Muslims with state sponsored Islamization agenda for half century. In the international arena you are only bothered about Islamic countries or when Muslims are involved. Street protest and threats when proposed to rectify ICERD. Shows the total lack of self awareness and kampongness (hillbillyness). Worst, its happening under the newly minted PH goverment! Nothing has changed. So it is fair that no one takes the clown like Malaysia seriously because when its comes to moral ground, we are in the deepest and stinkiest end of the gutters.

It may help us here to import the entire Palestinian population for a bit of social engineering and also produce a much better football team.

Alicia Lee Chiau Chze06:14 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Nazri is a hippocratic, I have never seen him write about racism and oppression in Malaysia.  Clean your own back garden first. Leave the palestinian problem to the Arabs to resolve - they are neighbours. While you write about  racism in Malaysian then only your articles are worth reading..

      sylvia mckelvie05:53 AM, 25 Jan 2019

I am sure Nazari did not realize how many friends he has on here.

      Lee Swee Ching05:41 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Israel the evil nation oppressing the innocent Palestine? Only a senseless person will believe this. Israel is like a light to the nations where they have greatly contributed to humanity. Palestine has only contributed terrorism. Terrorism is not light but darkness. The Palestinian government supports and sponsors terrorism using the money people from all over the world donate for humanitarian causes. Palestine is not interested in peace. Countries that support Palestine make things worse and don’t contribute towards peace. Please stop the stupid BDS movement. It is nonsense.

      Bala SC05:37 AM, 25 Jan 2019

A well-written piece, Nazari Ismail, of a quality even the Star or Utusan would be hard-put to emulate.  Some portions of it were inspiring, others enlightening, and yet others moving me almost to tears. But let us first consider some ugly truths – Malaysia would never support peace in the Middle East unless it meant the annihilation of Israel and driving the survivors into the sea.  Hostilities are so crucial to our continued display of lamentation over the suppression of Palestinian human rights as they lob rockets towards Tel Aviv; when Anwar Sadat signed the Peace Accord, it was far-away Malaysia that vehemently protested.  Yet the Jews and the Israelis must be relieved to learn that Malaysia bears them no malice, your burning hatred is only towards the Zionists, hence the banning of Israeli sportsmen all of them no doubt raving Zionists.  Each of your lines was a gem in itself.  Your measure of correctness demands that Sebastian Kurz condemn Israel as otherwise he can be seen a supporter of all that the tiny state represents.  Perhaps that is the reason for Malaysia’s silence towards the delightful practices in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Somalia, and Pakistan.  By the way, did you challenge Kurz on Austria’s stand regarding ICERD?  The jewel in the crown is your statement that it is not that we love Israeli sportsmen less but that you fear Malaysian hospitality would be misrepresented by the Zionist propaganda machine.  Thus you do welcome anti-Zionist Jews, a generosity that Zakir Naik also enjoys.  I take it that you walk most cautiously lest you stumble over your own words.

      DENNIS TAN05:36 AM, 25 Jan 2019

ALL I KNOW IS THAT MALAYSIA UNDER MAHATHIR IS DEVOID OF FRIENDS. CRITICISING OTHERS WHEN HIS OWN BACKYARD IS FILLED WITH RUBBISH. ON TGE OTHER HAND, MAHATHIR TRIES HARD TO BE FRIENDS WITH JAPAN, A COUNTRY THAT INFLICTED UNTOLD SUFFERING ON THE CHINESE PEOPLE.

      teo boon chin04:49 AM, 25 Jan 2019

By all means boycott the politicians but spare the innocent athletes who trained hard for their sports.

      Augustine Paranabas04:47 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Of course, just as you have not been anti-Chinese, anti-Indian, anti-Orang Asli, or anti-DLL. We believe you.

      chan hui ying03:37 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Racial discrimination is the norm within Malaysia. Now Malaysia is trying to extend its racist culture out of Malaysia. Who knows, other countries may also boycott Malaysia as well.

      David Wong03:18 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Mazarin Ismail is defending the indefensible. Malaysia is a country that discriminates its own people who are in the minority. If one can still remember, Tun M even said that the 911 WTO event did not happened and that Jews cook it up. If this not anti-Semitism, what is?

      Andrew Goh03:10 AM, 25 Jan 2019

I have no idea who Nazari Ismail is but I would venture he is a beneficiary of the "positive discrimination" education, scholarship and other policies enforced on the minority race in Malaysia.  If he was born to a Malay family in Malaysia, he is Muslim by law and forced to adopt the Islamic beliefs practised by the religious leaders in this country. If he was writing as a humanist and neutral, he would accept there is no such thing as "positive discrimination" when policies are largely race- and religion-based. Stripped of political correctness, "positive discrimination" in Malaysia is apartheid, racist, persecutes the minorities, and most importantly, against Malaysia's secular Constitution. In Malaysia, one's ethnicity is not an accident of birth - you can change it at the National Registration Department. The "positive discrimination" policies have been used to encourage the desperate to adopt Islam, allow a parent fighting for child custody to take advantage of it to deny the other parent legal custodial rights, deny followers of some evangelical religions their religious duty to propagate their religion or open the doors of their holy institutions to everyone regardless of religion, denying children of minority races and religions in Malaysia equal opportunities to education and jobs, etc.Nazari has mentioned several Jews, who might have directly or indirectly experienced the persecution and the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime, as being sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. The narrative here is not that Malaysia is 'morally-right' to support the Palestinian cause. The narrative here should be that these Jews are simply intelligent enough to see the shortcomings of centuries-old religious practices and bold enough to practice Humanity. These Jews are one level up on the moral scale compared to a lot of Malaysians.I write today as a humanist. If anything I have written is wrong, I welcome intelligent debate and constructive criticism with open arms.

      Lee Swee Ching03:06 AM, 25 Jan 2019

Malaysia government should do the honorable thing and give up hosting this or any international sports events until they learn not to mix up sports and politics, to save what's left of Malaysia's reputation. This Nazari, or the very green and immature sports minister, or anyone else, should just stop justifying their political agenda.

      Tang Wei Heng02:29 AM, 25 Jan 2019

That's ok Khalid. Rakyat must learn to pay for things as long as it is not excessively price and price ing must be transparent and not to use it to cover incompetency
