S’gor MB: PKR ‘solid against BN’, no rift over Sg Kandis candidate
SG KANDIS POLLS | Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari has dismissed a claim from BN's Sungai Kandis candidate Lokman Noor Adam that there are elements within PKR out to sabotage the party over its choice of candidate.
"I think he (Lokman) can keep on dreaming about that," Amiruddin told reporters this morning outside the nomination centre for the Sungai Kandis by-election.

UPDATED 1.22PM | SG KANDIS POLLS | He tells BN’s Lokman to 'keep on dreaming' if he thinks certain faction out to sabotage PKR.
Lokman claimed yesterday that a faction within PKR aligned to deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali were displeased that party president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail named Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni as the party's candidate for the state seat.
The Umno supreme council member – who was sacked from PKR in 2004 – said he received "hints" about these internal rumblings from his old friends in the party.
Amirudin rubbished the claims, however, saying that PKR stands united against BN.
"For now, we are solid," Amiruddin stressed.
"While there are such views (of factions in PKR), but today Azmin is here, I am here, the president is here, the Negeri Sembilan menteri besar (Aminuddin Harun) is here, and other Harapan leaders are here.
"So I believe we are on the right track and we are solidly against BN," he said.

Commenting further, the menteri besar also said PKR will highlight Zawawi's contributions as a community leader in their campaign for the seat.
'BN attempting to sow division'
When met by reporters, Azmin similarly denied there being a faction unhappy with Zawawi's candidacy.
The PKR Selangor chief also described such claims as an attempt by Umno to sow division within Harapan.
"This is Umno's strategy to break apart our unity, because there was no discussion (on candidate choice) in Umno and BN, as the matter was decided by their top leaders.
"In PKR and Harapan, we always hold discussions, and decisions are made via a consensus," he said.
The by-election for the Sungai Kandis state seat comes following the passing of former PKR incumbent Mat Shuhaimi Shafiei on July 2, due to lymphoma.
On May 9, Shuhaimi obtained 23,998 votes to win the Malay-majority seat, defeating BN's Kamaruzzaman Johar (11,518 votes), PAS' Mohd Yusof Abdullah (7,573) and PRM's Hanafiah Husin (76).
