GE14 | The results of the 14th general election show that there had been no cheating by BN, says coalition chief Najib Abdul Razak.
"There were a lot of things that were used as weapons in the election including slander and sedition that claimed BN would cheat to win in the election.
"The results of GE14 clearly show there was no cheating by BN," the former prime minister said at a press conference in the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) today.
BN won 79 seats in GE14. Pakatan Harapan component parties PKR, DAP, Bersatu and Amanah won a total of 113 seats. In addition, Harapan's Sabah ally Warisan won eight seats, and PKR-backed Batu candidate P Prabakaran won his seat.

Meanwhile, Najib also rubbished claims that he had convened a National Security Council (NSC) meeting last night to declare an emergency.
"This is another lie," he said.
Najib said the government had done its best to improve quality of life for Malaysians and ensure a better future for all.
However, he said what the government had offered was not as attractive as what was offered by the opposing faction.
"Now the government is waiting for the promises (made by Harapan) to be fulfilled," he said.
He said he accepted the people's verdict and was committed to respecting the principles of democracy.
