Open letter to Batu voters
COMMENT | Due to the injustice and intentional hindrance by the Election Commission (EC), I am unable to represent Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) to contest in the coming 14th general election, to defend one of the most winnable parliamentary seats for Harapan, which is P115 Batu.
I have been the people’s representative in Batu for two terms, and together with my commitment before that, I have been serving this area for more than 15 years, so it is not exaggerating to say that Batu is Tian Chua’s second hometown. I have a close relationship with the people in Batu, and during my tenure as the MP for this constituency of 10 years, we have been uniting and working closely together, and I believe that we have been on the right path in these years, doing all our best for the people of Batu.
However, due to the EC’s malicious hindrance, I am unable to continue serving everyone as an MP for the time being, but I will continue to stand together with the people of Batu without turning back.
To all the voters of Batu, it is definitely unacceptable for the EC to steal the Batu people’s right of choice, by using such an implausible reasoning which is illegitimately transcending the ruling by the High Court and the speaker of the Dewan Rakyat. The Batu people’s right of choice cannot be stolen!...

The people of Batu cannot accept the EC using such means to strip our candidate, the people of Batu cannot accept BN using such means to win the seat, and the people of Batu also cannot accept to have their hope for a change in government to be stolen in such means!
Therefore, I call upon the people of Batu, to use your votes to tell BN and the EC loudly and clearly, that the people of Batu do not easily bow down to their malicious hindrance, the people of Batu do not easily allow BN to steal the seat, and the people of Batu will definitely not easily allow BN and the EC to succeed in their dirty tricks!
Therefore, we shall concentrate our votes in support of P Prabakaran and to "cross the key for PKR”, so the people of Batu will clearly tell BN and the EC, don’t ever think that you can win our seat in such a way!
The Batu people’s votes shall clearly indicate their rejection for the BN candidate to become the people’s representative by the back door.
