GE14 | Tan Kee Kwong has not taken kindly to being dropped as PKR candidate for the Wangsa Maju, and lashed out at his replacement, Tan Yee Kew.

The incumbent MP claimed that Yee Kew will lose anywhere she contests, and declared that he will go on a "holiday" instead of assisting her for the 14th general election...

GE14 | Incumbent Wangsa Maju rep says Tan Yee Kew will 'lose anywhere' she goes.

I always take these types of "news" with a pinch of salt especially with seat allocation, nomination and GE14 around the corner, to me actions after these  "news" is more realistic and credible.

The source of this story is from Sin Chew Daily and it's certainly and 100% true, if this poor fella refused to sue Sin Chew /Malaysiakini. The right thing to do is to sue / demand Sin Chew Daily to retract /apologise for the highly defamatory FAKE NEWS and also rightfully APOLOGISE to Tan Yee Kee, if you had publicly undermined /attackked her as reported by Sin Chew. If you had any sincerity & integrity, you would publicly embrace her, your comrade, and campaign for her & the PKR party to ensure success of the PH coalition, at all cost, for the greater good of the country, but not just for personal gain or glory! Are you going to correct this serious damage to your reputation and go all out to personally support and campaign for Tan Yee Kee and say some kind words to your comrade who is fighting against your "enemy?" We are all waiting and any man with any iota of dignity would do the right thing, but not just issue mere denial on this serious charges against him!

This story is not true. Please verify yourself with Dr Tan. April 26 2018 @ 7.30am Statement by Dato Dr Tan Kee Kwong. I refer to the misleading article in Malaysiakini on 25 April. In it, I was quoted to have said “my replacement will lose” “I will go on holiday now” This is NOT true & I never spoke to Malaysiakini on this subject I repeat again. I remain fully commited to the cause of PKR & PH to change the Federal government in Putrajaya. I will only go for a short holiday after polling day on May 9. Last night, I was in Seri Gombak to campaign for Pkr candidate for Gombak Setia, Sdr Mohd Hilman. Also on Sat 28 April, I plan to go for nomination in Gombak & Batu. I hope Malaysiakini will be professional enough to correct the above misleading comments. Dato Dr Tan Kee Kwong former MP Wangsa Maju

Tan Kee Kwong - PKR was right to drop you after all for you think only of yourself and not the interest of all Malaysians i.e. for PH to replace BN government. Malaysians from all walks of life are coming up with innovative ideas and means to assist outstation votes to "balik undi" to vote. I deemed you are no better than those in the BN who lives in denial mode. By openly saying your replacement will lose and refusing to help the party win in Wangsa Maju - you have not only let down the electorate of Wangsa Maju but all Malaysians. PH needs to win as many seats as it possibly can to take Putrajaya - not forgetting that Wangsa Maju is an incumbent seat and must be retained at all costs. Be a gentleman and not whine about not getting to contest GE14!!

      david10:55 AM, 26 Apr 2018

To me, an outlooker from outside PKR but rooting for change, these public spats in Rawang and Wangsa Maju tell me all is not well with PKR.  Yes, Azizah may be right, changing candidates may be normal in politics but the incumbents should be convinced their dropping from the candidates list is above board.Otherwise we see public arguments like these, which hardly gives confidence.that the opposition is ready to assume the mantle as govt.of the day.

      Dr David Ting08:29 AM, 26 Apr 2018

Mkini, are you spreading FAKE NEWS. Am hearing from very reliable sources that TKK did not say these words...and continues to support PKR efforts.

      anturaya08:00 AM, 26 Apr 2018

Also I NEVER said my replacement will lose!!

      07:04 AM, 25 Apr 2018

Malaysiakini is very misleading & irresponsible. I NEVER said Dr Tan Yee Kew will lose anywhere she stands. I will go on holiday after May 9. I was in Gombak Setia last night to campaign for Pkr candidate Hilman. I hope Malaysiakini will correct the incorrect statement. Thank you

      07:01 AM, 25 Apr 2018

So proud to be so selfish?! Stop sulking you self serving prat and do your duty as a citizen and vote!

      jason ladah03:34 AM, 25 Apr 2018

Holiday on a day when a country needs every vote ? What a joke

      02:10 AM, 25 Apr 2018

YB KK.Tan: “You cannot go on holiday. We voted for you for many terms and supported Pekemas and your late Tan Sri father, the original Mr Opposition; please return to work for nation, society and Rakyat and ensure your successor wins and PH becomes government and perhaps appoint you as Senator. We hope to see you giving full support to whoever is nominated on 30th April at Wangsa Maju or Segambut. The fight is not for personal gain but for our beloved country. We need you. We must show unity.

      alturkistani12:56 AM, 25 Apr 2018

He's there to make money only. Useless bugger

      Zell Mozie12:54 AM, 25 Apr 2018

Do not follow the other Kepong Dr Tan; you are of higher calibre and integrity; come back to work tomorrow; you must have been misquoted or misinterpreted; your return will boost PKR:PH spirits; your departure will not reduce the momentum to Putrajaya but close sadly an otherwise unblemished political career; come back!

The late Dr Tan Chee Koon would have been disappointed.

      SHAFWAN12:18 AM, 25 Apr 2018

Another gloomy case. The conduct of Tan to bring the party down shows, it is better for such characters to be dropped. The party should cleanse itself of such elements. Tan was nobody too except for the legacy who he is,  he carried. Inheritance was Mr. Opposition but inheritor rose in Ruling Party and then to PKR an  Opposition. Like him, the party substitute can also win. Let him bray in his doomsday prophesy. I basically am, for whoever, a believer in a party before self. Tan is now about zero. About the new candidate, since the party chose, give a chance to do her best for the party which must have had a good reason for that decision.

      Tan Tuan Shee12:12 AM, 25 Apr 2018

It is better for person like Kee Kwong to quit PH since he is going for personal gains only & not to serve the rakyat. Join back Gerakan and fight for position there which is easier.
