I just have one thing to say to the writer: Please engage brain before writing because it clearly showed how ignorant, foolish and utterly pathetic you are in describing Tun Dr. Mahahir’s past and attempting to link him to UMNO’s present problems. The nonagenarian has changed and people can sense his sincerity to rescue Malaysia from the terrible mess it is in now.
So ?
Blaming TDM for the ills of the country now after he had stepped down as PM in 2003 says a lot about the PMs that follow. If he did indeed emasculate the judiciary, why wasn't its independence restored? The answer is simple. Current administration finds a pliant judiciary convenient. As for allegations of nefarious dealings against him, the best the current administration could do was to hold an RCI on the forex dealings of BMN some 30 years ago. And even with a loaded panel, it can't find any evidence to pin the blame on TDM. Similarly the RCI on Sabah IC. Following that, a committee was set up under Pairin and he had a report drawn up with recommendations but it has not seen the light of day. Why? Because the current administration needs the phantom voters? Maybe we should have an RCI on May 13 and don't be surprised that the blame might lay squarely on the door step of the second PM.
