University students seeking to get an early start to their business careers received a boost today with the launch of a Stellavingze International’s “Young Entrepreneurs Star Search Campaign.”
The campaign will see ten students aged between 21 to 23 receive RM5,000 in start-up capital if they succeed in winning over a panel from social enterprise Stellavingze with their business proposals.
The campaign also includes a three-month mentorship for participants on how to operate their businesses, and a one-year consultation on management and branding.
“This programme will teach and guide young entrepreneurs to gain skills like planning and management which is important,” said Stella Chin, the face of Stellavingze.
The “Star Search Campaign” was officiated by former women, family and community development minister Ng Yen Yen, who said that parents should encourage their children to participate in the programme.
“Win or not, at least goyang lah sikit otak, fikiran, dan impian dia (give their brains, minds and dreams a shake.)
“Just give it a try, if cannot get then cannot. But if you get, it can change your life,” she said.
Stellavingze will be accepting proposals from students today until May 31, 2018.
