I would like to respond to Bin Ibrahim's plea for Anwar Ibrahim to forgive Dr Mahathir Mohamad. In his speeches, Anwar has said that he forgives him but has not forgetten the incident.

But what do you do with a person like Mahathir who keeps on saying Anwar is a sodomist? Then there is the matter of the wrongful dismissal of Anwar which resulted in him losing his pension.

How are we to forgive that? In Islam, forgiving is only one part of it as monetary loss must be replaced by the financial means of the other. Please remember that.

This is not about being greedy or making use of an opportunity. It is simply that what is owed in this world must be repaid before we leave it.
