Former Selangor menteri besar Khalid Ibrahim said Pakatan Harapan should have pointed out his weaknesses even when he still stood with the opposition coalition's predecessor Pakatan Rakyat, instead of using it as a threat now.

He was responding to Selangor senior exco Teng Chang Khim, who had said that Harapan will not hesitate to reveal Khalid’s weaknesses if he chooses to be with BN.

“Go ahead. He should have been doing it before this. Don’t use it as a threat, there is no use.

“(This shows that) we shouldn’t choose them because they are not transparent. That reflects (their) character. It is a weak character,” he said.

When told that Teng (photo) had said they did not reveal his weaknesses before this out of respect for him, he laughed and said, “But now he has no respect (for me) because we are not in his gang?”

Another former Selangor MB, Abu Hassan, had previously claimed that BN will receive help from Khalid, along with himself and two other former MBs.

“Khalid is prepared to do so (help BN’s campaign) and now we have four former MBs (on our side).

“I’ve discussed this with Noh, and he needs our help so Insya Allah we will help,” Abu Hassan had said.

Teng had responded to this in turn, by saying that Harapan was aware of Khalid’s personal weaknesses during his term as menteri besar and will not hesitate to reveal the “skeletons in their closet”.

“He (Khalid) was forced to step down. But we respected each other and did not go to the extent of embarrassing him (by revealing them).

“But, if he chooses to be with the other side, we will reveal his weaknesses. In fact, we were forced to clean up the mess that was caused by him when he was menteri besar,” Teng said.
