Isa is a suspect, MACC rebuts lawyer

Former Felda chairperson Isa Samad is a suspect in the purchase of two hotels by Felda Investment Corporation (FIC), confirmed MACC today.

MACC deputy chief commissioner Azam Baki said this in rebutting Isa's lawyer K Kumaraendran who argued that Isa was remanded as a witness, and not a suspect.

"I think some people might need to do some criminal study here. When we arrest and remand a person, that shows he is under investigation," said Azam when met at Putrajaya...
