Wan Azizah: Lawmakers will select interim PM

Opposition Leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said an interim prime minister will be chosen by opposition lawmakers if Pakatan Harapan were to win the 14th general election (GE14).

According to her, selecting an interim PM candidate is necessary as PKR's choice of candidate, Anwar Ibrahim, is in jail.

"There is a hedge, of course, because Anwar is still in jail. The interim (prime minister) candidate, of course, will be the one who enjoys the majority support from the MPs," Wan Azizah said at a press conference today...
