Selangor PAS will abide by party's instructions on PKR ties
Selangor PAS will adhere to the syura council's decision on whether to cut ties with PKR, a move which will undermine the position of its representatives in the state government.
"The leadership and delegates from Selangor stand behind PAS central leadership, including the syura council.
"We will adhere to and abide by any decision that is made. If we asked to move forward, we will move forward, and if told to retreat we will do so as well," Selangor PAS treasurer Zaidy Abdul Talib said in a statement.
Zaidy is also Selangor executive council member.
"To date, PAS-PKR relations will go on as usual," he added.
The PAS general assembly, the muktamar, yesterday unanimously decided to cut ties with PKR, subject to a final decision to the syura council which will meet soon on the matter...
This will affect PAS' position in state government, but it's status quo until syura council decides.

PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the party will wait for the syura council's decision before commenting further.
The Selangor government is made up of 13 PAS reps, 14 DAP reps, 13 PKR reps and two Parti Amanah Negara assemblypersons.
If PAS is kicked out of government, the Selangor government will hang on by the skin of its teeth with only 29 reps - just enough for a simple majority in the legislative assembly of 56 members.
PAS stayed in government despite quitting the Pakatan Rakyat coalition in 2015.
PAS defectors then formed Amanah, which joined with DAP and PKR to form a new coalition - Pakatan Harapan.
Amanah assemblypersons declared loyalty to the government led by PKR deputy president and Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.
Azmin, who received brickbats at the 63rd muktamar which ended today, responded by imploring PAS members to remember that differences in views is no reason for severing ties.
