I am sure many Malaysians are flabbergasted at the huge sum of money that the former chief minister of Sabah Osu Sukam had lost during his numerous gambling trips to London.

It is even more unnerving to know that all his losses were incurred when he was still in office.

This whole episode blew up in his face because of two applications filed in the Kota Kinabalu High Court by his creditors to register the judgment obtained against him in the English High Court.

What if the former chief minister had won the sum of money that is being claimed by his creditors. Would any of us know of his gambling habit besides those close to him?

Resigning from his divisional position in Umno does not exonerate him from further investigation. The Anti-Corruption Agency should immediately carry out an investigation without fear or favour as to how a former chief minister and small-time lawyer could afford to lose such a huge sum of money in a gambling binge over such a short period of time.

I am certain the law-abiding citizens of this country would like to know how he got his hands on much money, an amount that most of us can only dream of having.
