'Superman' remanded for four days, goes on hunger strike

Former DAP member Hew Kuan Yau, or better known as “Superman”, has been remanded for four days over his Facebook post against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor.
Hew’s lawyer Chan Kheng Fai said his client was brought to the Kulai district police headquarters at 4.30am this morning, after he was arrested in Penang yesterday.
“The Kulai magistrate granted the police a four-day remand, which will end on Friday,” he told Malaysiakini.
UPDATED 12.11PM | This is to facilitate police investigations on a Facebook posting concerning the prime minister and his wife.
