Man to be charged with extortion over 'pastor ransom'
The man arrested for allegedly seeking a ransom for abducted Pastor Raymond Koh, will be charged with extortion, police said.
"Investigations found the suspect has nothing to do with the case and was taking advantage of the situation to extort the family.
"The investigations into the abduction continues. We urge those with information to come forward to assist the probe," Selangor criminal investigation department chief Fadzil Ahmad said in a statement.

The suspect, 30, was arrested last week after reportedly making a ransom call for RM30,000.
The amount raised eyebrows as Koh's family is offering RM100,000 as reward for information leading to Koh's safe return.
Koh was abducted on Feb 13 while driving in Petaling Jaya.
A leaked video of the incident showed the car he was driving blocked by three SUVs, before he was taken in less than a minute.
Some 1,500 people attended a candlelight vigil for the pastor in Sibu this week, while hundreds others attended vigils in Shah Alam, George Town, Johor Baru and Malacca.
