Agong: Gov't formulating unity action plan

PARLIAMENT The government is preparing an action plan to strengthen national unity and integration, said the Yang diPertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V.

"Our government is formulating an action plan to implement the 'Pelan perpaduan, kesepaduan dan penyatupaduan' (Unity and unification plan), which would be based in line with the Federal Constitution and the Rukunegara," the monarch said.

Speaking at the opening of the first Parliament meeting of 2017 today, Sultan Muhammad said Malaysians should not be complacent with existing efforts to foster unity.
