Cops foil 'large scale' car bomb plot

The police have arrested seven individuals late last month over alleged plans to launch a "large scale" car bomb attack in Malaysia.

According to inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, two of the suspects had received instructions to do so by Muhammad Wanddy Mohamed Jedi, reportedly a Malacca-born senior Islamic State operative based in Syria.
