Khairuddin-Asri debate issue resolved after Kangar meet

PAS ulama information chief Khairuddin Aman Razali believes the issue of him debating Perlis mufti Asri Zainul Abidin has been resolved following a meeting between the two in Kangar this morning.

Khairuddin said Asri agrees with amendments porposed by PAS in the Syariah Court (Criminal Jurisdiction) Court Act amendment bill but "has his views for other amendments", Berita Harian reported.

Khairuddin's visit to the mufti's home comes after the Kuala Nerus MP was recorded saying in a ceramah that he will "sekeh" any mufti who claims Act 355 should not be amended.

'Asri agrees with amendments proposed by PAS,' its ulama info chief says after meeting with the Perlis mufti.
