Proton is Dr M's failed white elephant, Nazri says

National car maker Proton is a failed white elephant of Dr Mahathir Mohamad's, said Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz.

"That project of his is a failure, because every year they are asking us money.. Asking us to help support them.

"This is what we have inherited from him... This is a white elephant project," Nazri said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
