Yapeim says documents not served by Pemangkin founding members

Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (Yapeim) has said it had yet to receive a summons from Yayasan Pembangunan Anak Yatim/Miskin (Foundation for the Advancement of Orphans and the Poor, or Pemangkin) founding members, Mohd Yusoff A Bakar and Ahmad Fazli Hashim.

Yapeim’s director-general Abibullah Samsudin in a statement last night said as of 7pm last night it has yet to receive the RM20 million suit which was filed yesterday.

“However, for the public information Pemangkin had on Nov 29, last year filed a derivative action against Yusoff and Ahmad Fazli, where an injunction has been obtained to freeze both their accounts in order to safeguard assets and interests held by Pemangkin.

Its DG says as of 7pm last night it has yet to receive the RM20m suit filed yesterday.
