Hadi did not have a lavish house with a pool, says PAS man
In an obvious jibe at Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, a PAS man noted that party president Abdul Hadi Awang did not own a house worth millions “with or without a swimming pool” during his tenure as the menteri besar of Terengganu.
Terengganu PAS information chief Mohd Nor Hamzah said Hadi only had two wooden houses for his wives, with the South China Sea as their swimming pool.
Describing it as rare, he said during his one-term as menteri besar, neither the PAS president nor his family were accused of corruption or crimes.
Lim has been slapped with two charges, which he claims were politically motivated.

In the first charge, the chief minister was accused of abusing his power to benefit himself and his wife by approving the re-zoning of a plot of land to Magnificient Emblem Sdn Bhd.
The second charge is related to him obtaining a bungalow from businesswoman Phang Li Khoon at below market value for RM2.8 million.
Lim, had in response to critics, denied that his house was a luxury bungalow, arguing that it did not have a swimming pool.
PAS' achievements in Terengganu
Mohd Nor made the remarks in an article titled “Sejak Kit Siang berkawan rapat dengan Mahathir (Since Kit Siang got closer to Mahathir)” published in Harakah daily today.
“Since (DAP veteran) Lim Kit Siang became close friends with (former premier Dr) Mahathir (Mohamad), he seems to be suffering from selective memory,” he added.
He included a link to a Malaysiakini article in which Lim alleged that Mahathir had lied about meeting opposition leaders and assuring they would not be arrested under the infamous Ops Lalang in 1987.
Lim was one of those detained under the operation.
Mohd Nor then listed out PAS' achievements when it ruled the state government from 1999-2004.
This includes abolishing tolls, distributing more than 50,000 lots of land to the public regardless of political affiliations and religion, reducing state debt, restructuring state GLCs to make them profitable, among others.
He further claimed that DAP had felt threatened by PAS' strengths at the time, leading to the end of their partnership in Barisan Alternatif.
PAS and DAP are currently bitter foes after the latter opposed the Islamist party's alleged plans to implement hudud law, leading to the end of their last collaboration under the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.
