Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad has not ruled out the possibility that the son of Deputy Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, who was accused of leading a group that ambushed him in Parliament, may have been present at a different identification parade.

Khalid said police held a line-up for the case on Dec 13, which he was not able to attend as he was overseas.

"As far as I have seen, the son of the deputy minister involved in the attack was not present at the line-up on Jan 10.

"Maybe he and the other 'main attackers' were present at the first line-up on Dec 13, 2016," the Parti Anamah Negara (Amanah) communications director said in a statement.

On Monday, Khalid told a press conference that those who were present at the identification parade were bystanders.

However, when contacted on Tuesday, he said what he meant was that none of those in the parade were "main players" in the attack.

This was after Kuala Lumpur police chief Amar Singh said all suspects arrested in relation to the incident had been present in the line-up.

On Nov 24, Khalid was attacked by a group of men who claimed to be from Pasir Salak, Perak.

The group members said they were upset with him for using the Malay term "sial" to describe Tajuddin, who is the MP for Pasir Salak, during an exchange in the Dewan Rakyat.

Khalid said this in the Dewan Rakyat after Tajuddin remarked that Seputeh MP Teresa Kok is the "only woman with a Kok", during an exchange over the Bersih 5 rally.
