Reveal contractors involved in Felda housing projects, Isa Samad told
PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has urged Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) chairperson Isa Samad to release detailed information regarding the housing projects for Felda settlers.
This should include a list of all contractors who are involved, he said.
He said this was necessary as Felda's financial statement for 2014 estimated that the projects, known collectively as Perumahan Warga Felda, was estimated to have loss RM193 million in value.

He said this was necessary as Felda's financial statement for 2014 estimated that the projects, known collectively as Perumahan Warga Felda, was estimated to have loss RM193 million in value.
Rafizi said he had previously sought details from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak on Dec 3, 2015 and received the answer through a written parliamentary reply from Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Razali Ibrahim.
"I asked for details on all contrators, but he didn't reveal all 28 contractors," Rafizi told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
He said that at the time, he had also sought details on the amount of units being built, locations and sale prices. He said that Razali was not forthcoming with his answers.
On the RM193 million estimated loss, which according to the financial statement was the same for both 2014 and 2013, Rafizi said it was likely that the sum was already spent.
"The auditors will say, you have incurred a loss although the houses are yet to be completed and it needs to be reflected on the financial statements," said Rafizi, who, before politics, was an accountant.
According to Razali's written reply, eleven contractors have been engaged to build 3,426 low- and medium-low cost houses, priced between RM42,000 to RM92,000, that were to be sold to Felda settlers.
Felda is facing a string of criticisms of late, beginning with the acquisition of a 37 percent stake in Indonesia's PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk.
Felda had announced that it would buy a non-controlling stake in the Indonesian plantation for US$505.4 million (RM2.26 billion) at more than twice what its shares were worth in the open market.
The agency is also under fire over the poor performance of its investment arm Felda Global Ventures (FGV) in the stock market.
