Rebranding exercises wrong approach
There is no stopping them is there? Every other Tom, Dick and Harry of a company in town is 'rebranding' hoping that this will improve the public's perception of them.
I don't get it why companies feel the need to change their names and logos every now and then and then spend millions changing all their vehicle liveries and stationary. I just don't believe in the wisdom of 'rebranding' and need to do it if the company was run properly in the first place.
If one wish to improve the perception of the paying customer or the public, then emphasis should be placed on a change in work ethics, competency in handling queries, short lag in resolving problems and excellent customer service.
The giant multinationals of this world do not change their logos or names as often as some companies in Malaysia do which in itself shows the hilarity of the solution being employed to prod local 'slumbering giants'
If 'rebranding' and name change is the answer, then if change my name to Bill Gates, I should become an overnight success, right?
