Show me the data, Noh Omar tells Azmin over housing discounts
Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Noh Omar wants the Selangor government to provide his ministry with detailed data on the prices of service apartments, town houses and virtual offices in the state.
This is to prove Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali's claims that a discount of 10 percent is given to all races for the purchase of the three types of houses.
"He said that I lied (when I questioned) about the 10 percent discount. I want to tell him, do not cheat the rakyat," Noh told a press conference in Petaling Jaya today.

"Now the MB must explain what the guidelines are. We want to ask him (about) the town houses and virtual offices, what their prices and square footages are. We want to study what is the price per square foot.
"If the price goes down but the square footage is also reduced, what is the difference?"
Noh said the data would allow his ministry to study Azmin's claims that the prices have been reduced.
"Because, from the study, we will have things on record. We just want to know, if it's around here (Shah Alam), what is the price per square foot, and what is the size. Where these properties will be built.
"I will find out about his claims of price reduction. I am not lying, but the MB made an incomplete statement," he said.
On Monday, Azmin accused Noh, who is also Selangor Umno liaison chief, of lying when he questioned the state's 10 percent discount for town houses and virtual offices.
Azmin had previously announced that the state has talked to developers to maintain town house and virtual office prices in Selangor at between RM230,000 and RM270,000 a unit.
Prior to this, the prices of such properties reached as high as RM450,000.
