PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil urged Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor to reveal all projects handled by a senior Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officer who was charged with corruption last week.

"I invite Tengku Adnan to announce the total projects granted through open tenders and direct negotiations involving the 'DBKL Official 1'," he said in a statement today.

Fahmi said the statistics could also be used as a litmus test for Tengku Adnan's scepticism towards open tender.

Tengku Adnan had yesterday complained that going through open tender for projects could cause problems as there were bidders who offered the lowest price but were unable to complete the projects on time.

Fahmi asked that Tengku Adnan use the projects involving the charged DBKL official as an example.

"From the projects, how many percent were problematic or were not completed according to the stipulated time?

"This information can give a picture or sample to test whether his (Tengku Adnan's) arguments are valid or not," he said.

Fahmi also reminded Tengku Adnan of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's commitment to open tender in order to weed out corruption.

"Is Tengku Adnan disagreeing with the the prime minister and Umno president's opinion about open tender?" he said.

Fahmi said if Tengku Adnan disagreed, then he should advocate a change in policy based on empirical data.
