Police given one week deadline to act on 1MDB-linked case

DAP lawmaker Lim Lip Eng lodged a police report today against those named in the 1MDB-related civil lawsuits filed by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

“I want the police to investigate the names stated by the DOJ and the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), that is, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s stepson Riza Aziz and (businessman) Jho Low, as well as Malaysian Official 1.

“I want police to also investigate where is the US$3.5 million, which the FBI said was stolen from 1MDB,” Lim told reporters outside the Dang Wangi police district headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, after he lodged the report.
