Who are the three senior ministers and one menteri besar who will be hauled up to the court for corruption?

As mentioned in an exclusive report, malaysiakini has reliably learned that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has finally decided to charge three of his cabinet members and one MB for corruption.

We reported that Abdullah has given the go ahead to the Attorney-General's Chambers to prosecute the four for offences which go back for about 12 years.

All the ministers have been in the government since the time of Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Some of them also hold high positions in their respective parties.

Malaysiakini has the names of the ministers but has decided not to reveal them for legal reasons.

However, to get around any legal implications, malaysiakini can give some clues on who these leaders are.

Seriously, folks, did you really think top politicians - and not one but four - would be charged in court for corruption? After a 17- month head start and still failing to keep his word to lead a clean government, we thought that only April Fool's Day would be appropriate for such a tall tale!

So, there you have it. Nothing such as this is likely to happen. No minister or MB will be charged for corruption any time soon. At least, not that we are aware of.

Perhaps they will be free until April 1, next year.
