Residents blame TNB for fire incident, demand answers

A family in Sungai Way suspects Tenaga Nasional Berhad's (TNB) purported negligence is to blame after their home was razed in a fire recently.

But the electricity provider has ignored their request for an explanation, prompting some 20 members of the extended family to go public yesterday with the help of Kampung Tunku state assemblyperson Lau Weng San.

"We met our village head and he brought us to see YB (Lau). YB helped us to send a letter to TNB but they have not replied at all," said Chai Lian Choy, a member of the family.
