The ringgit extended losses against the US dollar today as investors remained on the sidelines over the outcome of the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting on April 27.

At 9.04am, the local note weakened to 3.9120/9190 against the US dollar from 3.8940/8000 last Friday.

The ringgit also eased against the Singapore dollar to 2.8860/8931 from Friday's 2.8838/8904, but appreciated against the yen to 3.5158/5230 from 3.5281/5342.

It declined against the euro to 4.3928/4018 from 4.3893/3969 and strengthened against the British pound to 5.6458/6575 from 5.5852/5957.
