Two Thai sailors have been arrested in Malaysia for drug-trafficking, police said today.

The men, aged 29 and 31 years old, were found with 98 grammes of heroin in their possession, narcotics department chief Abdul Razak Mohamad Zin told the Bernama news agency.

Police nabbed them as they attempted to jump down from the upper floor of a house in Tanjung Gemok, near Rompin in central Pahang state on Monday, he said.

Drug trafficking in Malaysia carries a mandatory death penalty.
