Former Si Rusa assemblyperson S Krishnan, 64, died at a medical centre in Kochin, Kerala, India of cancer yesterday.

An MIC source confirmed the matter to Bernama in Kuala Lumpur last night.

Krishan, an MIC strongman, served as Barisan Nasional assemblyperson for Si Rusa for one term from 1995. He leaves behind a wife, two sons and a daughter.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s consul-general in Chennai, Ahmad Fajarazam Abdul Jalil, told Bernama that the body accompanied by his son was expected to be brought by land to Chennai and was expected to arrive late last night.
