The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) grilled former 1MDB CEO Shahrol Halmi for the second time today as part of its ongoing investigation.

The questioning began at 10.30am and ended at 1pm.

"Shahrol's cooperation was satisfactory, and he answered all questions aimed at him.

"All PAC members also got a chance to ask questions that were very satisfying on all aspects of 1MDB's administration," PAC chief Hasan Arifin said in a statement today.

Met by reporters after his meeting with the PAC, Shahrol said all went well.

"We are happy to provide the answers and we think we have provided lengthy answers. We look forward to cooperate further," Shahrol said.

However, neither Shahrol nor Hasan disclosed what questions were asked, and what documents he brought with him.

Hasan said last week that Shahrol was on Thursday asked about the administration of 1MDB, starting from the time it was the Terengganu Investment Authority (TIA) in 2009 until the formation of 1MDB in September 2009.

The PAC also heard Shahrol's explanation on the establishment of the 1MDB-PetroSaudi International joint venture.

The PAC will be questioniong 1MDB's current boss Arul Kanda Kandasamy tomorrow.

The committee will also be speaking to 1MDB chairperson Lodin Wok Kamaruddin after it receives the full Auditor-General 's report on 1MDB on Dec 17.
