AUDIT REPORT UDA Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, UDA Dayaurus Sdn Bhd, has failed to submit six contract documents between the company and their clients for auditing purposes to the Auditor-General’s Office.

According to a Feedback Report on the Third Series of the 2014 Audit Report, ironically, UDA Dayaurus merely submitted letters of acceptance from them to the Auditor-General’s Office.

“Without formal contract documents, UDA Dayaurus has nothing to fall back on to verify the terms and specifications of the services provided to them,” it said.

The report also stated that auditing could not be made to verify the terms and details on the obligations of both parties.

“The auditor-general recommends that UDA Dayaurus get the contract documents soonest as

a reference on the services provided, as well as to seek payments from the clients,” he said.

The failure to audit six (out of 12) contract documents is one of the pitfalls of UDA Dayaurus, it said, adding that the six clients owed arrears totaling RM364,259 for more than 365 days.

“The auditor-general recommends UDA Dayaurus to monitor payments from the clients and take appropriate action for any delays.

“It should also improve internal controls for each procurement process, payment and asset management,” the report said.
