Finally it has come out from the mouth of their own revered leaders that their race will become a ‘bastardised’ race if the United National Malays Organisation (Umno) loses power in the next general election due in 2018.

What that ought to play in our minds is that why has the main race, which is the dominant race and political force in this country, come to such a state? Why are their own leaders calling the Malay peasantry, working class and the obedient serfs who dominate the civil service which such terms?

It is basically coming out of frustration from the ruling elites that their mind set programming via constant brainwashing courses or ‘kursus’ is simply not working any more after the advent of the social media and the easily-available Internet and smartphones.

The mind mould is not working, the education system which is engineered and structured to ensure that we have a very submissive society at the end of the day seems to have burst its bubble with the stark realities that is hitting the lives of us Malaysians.

When the elites are found to have misappropriated funds from the public coffers in the name of development, the people and the common Malay peasantry is expected to sit back and accept and not question such acts of wantonness. When such acts of wantonness are questioned, those who question are deemed to be troublemakers and difficult and are quickly removed from positions of power.

When questioned further, as predicted and as usual, the Malay peasantry is told that the DAP is behind the whole fiasco! All of a sudden the Jews are brought in and the spin masters quickly cook up a story which usually works in the minds of the Malay peasantry that the Jews are going to take over the country using the DAP and turn into a Christian state with the ethnic Chinese in charge.

Today’s Malays are very well-informed, the peasantry, the working class and the obedient serfs have do a good job at playing dumb or ‘buat bodoh’ but they know what is the actual situation out there and what the government has been delivering thus far. They know that when they see the news on state-controlled TV, it is nothing but a daily dose of propaganda with an intention to brainwash and mind mould us Malaysians, with Malays in particular.

Therefore one wonders who has actually bastardised the Malays? If the Malays were allowed to think out of the box, were allowed to be free from patronage and the bond of feudalism and were brought up to be world beaters whether they need to compete with the Chinese or other races that live here, they would not be in this doldrums today.

What is wrong if the Malay decides to speak in English or Mandarin? Why must he be ostracised? What is wrong if a Malay decides to join the DAP and fight for the rights of fellow Malaysians irrespective of race?

This mind mould and conditioning is what that has created a race which is constantly afraid that the Chinese will take over. Why must there be fear? Isn’t it because of this fear that the Malayan Union which gave all the races in Malaya equality was fiercely opposed at its time of inception?

Isn't it because of this fear that the Chinese will take over, that Singapore was kicked out from the federation in 1965? So, the foundations of guiding of a race to become bold and fearless has seriously been neglected and in its place the entitlement right which was purportedly agreed upon before the drafting of federal constitution had been fixated in the mind mould.

Generations of ‘entitlement rights-holders’

This has created generations of ‘proud entitlement rights-holders’ who couldn't give a damn as long as they are paid their commissions, salaries and perks in return for the right to use their ‘entitlement rights’ by others.

The Malays of today, the educated and technologically-savvy youth must come out of this mind mould and set this country in the correct path to redemption for the sake of the future generations to come.

It is simply not enough to replace a leader because he is unpopular and is a proven mis-appropriator with another who will be determined to keep the Malays in the predetermined mind mould so that a small coterie of elites can continuously keep the peasantry as their obedient serfs.

The non-Malays are here to stay and will cooperate and assist the Malays to run this nation without having any ulterior motives. It is only in this way can we have true assimilation where the Malays would not fear that others are here as a threat to their position but instead are here to help move this nation forward with good, fair and efficient governance.

For such words to be used on a race which has constantly backed one particular political party since independence will only go to show the actual feelings of the ruling elite towards the peasantry whom they expect to simply be led by the nose without question.

Instead of being allowed to be ‘bastardised’, the Malays of today, the post-1998 and -2008 generation must be determined to break the mind mould that has been set as part of the grand design to ensure continued and perpetual rule of a certain class of Malays by ensuring that if ever there is a regime change, a process of reformation of the system of governance has got to take place.

The independence of the institutions of governance, the role of Parliament, the role of graft busters, the central bank, the education system has got to be revamped and restarted to enable us to catch up with the rest in the region.

The Chinese came out in full force for the Bersih 4 rally to show that they are just fed up with how the country is run and managed. But as usual, such a situation will be immediately turned into a racial rallying point with the Malays that subscribe to the mind mould. The Malays are fed up, too, but the thick feudal vein in them prevents them from really venting their anger and frustrations towards the ruling government for fear that they will be deemed as ingrates.

It is this that keeps the Malays within the mind mould no matter how far the rest of the world may have moved on. The Malays must realise that unless and until they hold this the current administration responsible for the mind mould in which they have been put in, it will continue for many more future generations to come.

Therefore instead of threatening the Malays that they will be nowhere if Umno is not in power, it will be better if they are allowed to be free to think for themselves and decide their future. An open mind is what will remedy the fear that the Malays feel about others around them.
