Vocal MACC director transferred to PM's Dept

           

Ferdtan: The country is certainly on the way going to the dogs. The transfer to the Prime Minister’s Department of vocal Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) special operations division director Bahri Mohamad Zin and strategic communication director Rohaizad Yaakob was obviously to end the department’s strong reaction to what had happened to their colleagues, including the arrest of MACC deputy public prosecutor by the police.

 

It was to thwart any imminent fight back. The question is how many of the MACC personnel can the government send into cold storage? This move further infuriated not only the public but also the personnel in MACC.

 

Kingfisher: This action of transfers would be perceived by the public as a blatant abuse of power and a denial of fundamental rights.

 

It is unbelievable that such apparent disregard for the interests of ordinary Malaysians is perpetrated in defiance of the basic norms of good governance.

 

A kind of siege mentality is being imposed to deny the exercise of the normal functions associated with loyalty to a nation.

 

It is not disloyalty to the nation to question the abuses of power by those in governance. It is an act of loyalty to the nation when ordinary citizens question the abusers.

 

Lamborghini: Indeed, desperate actions by an embattled person in power.

 

We have always been told that MACC is an independent body so that the officers can carry out their tasks without fear or favour. Now we know the real situation.

 

God help these officers and God save Malaysia from people in power who are abusing their power.

 

Mushiro: All the actions taken so far are just to frustrate the attempts to arrest PM Najib Razak.

 

Just imagine if all the thieves and murderers have the power to transfer the police officers who have come to arrest them to some other departments. What will happen to Malaysia?

I feel this item (the transfer of two key MACC officers) is not at all founded on facts. This is because there cannot be anybody on earth, including Najib, who could be this stupid.

These men do their despicable deeds publicly without shame.

 

Surely for us, who care and love our country, we must ensure that these men be gotten rid of so that others who are responsible and care for the country and the rakyat be put in place.

Apa Ini?: Didn't those MACC officers pray publicly for God's help? They are now silenced by a mere transfer, their designation unknown. Or was it just another sellout? Yes, unseen hands are at work, but not of God’s.

 

Haveagreatday: Some commentators here do not understand Bahri's predicament. He is still a civil servant, therefore he has no option but to clam up.

 

Don't blame him for not searching for the 'lubang cacing' - his career in MACC is for all intents and purposes over.

Apa Nama: Najib, you are playing the chess pieces nicely and smartly. I am much impressed with the way you silent your critics.

 

Instead of transferring these two men elsewhere or even terminate them due to health issues like what happened to the previous attorney-general, you place them in cold storage under your department.

 

By the way, Najib, no matter how brilliant you play chess, you will definitely be checkmated one day. Make no mistake, you will fall like the king on the chess board

 

Najib, the world is round and mind you, nothing is permanent in this world. I would like to see how long you will play this game of madness. What goes around will come around.
