Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali has said that he is not happy with the current issues faced by the country.

Without specifying the issues, Ibrahim said he hoped all the problems would be solved soon.

"I am unhappy about the country as a whole right now, because there are too many problems.

"With (problems of) racial ties, the fall of the ringgit currency, the sudden cabinet reshuffle. Issue after issue. I am not happy.

"I am not specifying (any issues) but speaking on the whole. I hope all this will get better," he said at a press conference in Putrajaya today.

This was said after he was asked by reporters whether Prime Minister Najib Razak should go on leave while the 1MDB probes are ongoing.

Ibrahim, however, declined to answer that question.

In fact, he stressed that his displeasure was at the state of the country in general.

Other than that, he also said that if the government would listen to advice from Perkasa, it would help alleviate the problems plaguing the country.

"If they listen to Perkasa's advice - even if not a lot, just a little - it will help," he said.

The cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday saw Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin being dropped as deputy prime minister and education minister, along with several other ministers.

The removal appeared to be the result of Muhyiddin publicly criticising Najib on the 1MDB allegations.

The 1MDB issue surfaced again after a report by The Wall Street Journal claimed that US$700 million (RM2.6 billion) was transferred into Najib's personal account was published .
