PAS is still part of the Selangor government as the PAS ulama council only revoked the party's political cooperation with DAP.
Selangor PAS commissioner Iskandar Abdul Samad said there was no reason for PAS state assemblypersons in the state executive council to quit their posts.
"PAS assemblypersons may only quit the Selangor government if PAS has quit Pakatan Rakyat," the PAS vice-president said in a statement today.
Iskandar stressed that the Selangor government was still a Pakatan Rakyat government as Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali did not say the Pakatan Rakyat state government no longer existed.
In fact, the three Pakatan Rakyat parties, namely PAS, PKR and DAP, did not make any joint announcement that the Pakatan Rakyat state government no longer existed, he said.
On Saturday, the PAS ulama council that the political cooperation with DAP had been revoked following continued provocation by DAP which it said undermined the Pakatan Rakyat spirit of cooperation. – Bernama
