PAS MUKTAMAR It is PAS's divine mission to fight against Umno, corruption and the goods and services tax (GST) a Youth delegate said today.

 

Perak PAS Youth representative Mohd Syakirin Hussein said as such, the party should not simply say that its struggle is because of the ruling Malay party.

 

"Don't simply say that 'we fight because of Umno, we fight GST, corruption because of Umno.'

 

"Islam doesn't teach us to fight because of Umno, but to fight for Allah. [...] we would not fight Umno if Allah did not tell us to.

 

"We fight Umno because Allah told us to fight Umno," he said in his policy debate.

 

"(And) when we wrest power from the oppressors, when we have won Putrajaya, the Prophet Muhammad taught us that we must place the power of victory on the path of truth," he added 

 

However Mohd Syakirin warned PAS against being so shortsighted that its only aim is to capture Putrajaya.

 

"The goal of our struggle is not just to reach Putrajaya. Perak PAS Youth stresses that what is the use of Putrajaya if it takes us further away from heaven?" he asked, and was answered by shouts of " Allahuakbar " (God is great).
