Pakatan Rakyat MPs will stage a protest against the incarceration of opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in front of the Parliament gates tomorrow morning.

PKR's Padang Serai MP N Surendran (right) labelled it as a "collective" decision of the opposition lawmakers.

The protest is to demand the release of Anwar and for him to attend Parliament as he is still the opposition leader.

However, the MPs will attend the Parliament sitting when it starts at 10am.

"Tomorrow the MPs will gather outside the Parliament gate to protest against the opposition leader's imprisonment," Surendran said.

He also said that many of the opposition lawmakers were saddened by Anwar not being allowed to attend the Parliament sitting.

Surendran said that the protest is only the first among many other initiatives that the opposition MPs will take.

"You can expect more motions to urge for Anwar to be allowed to Parliament," he said.
