An accused person, who is on bail, was found dead, believed to have fallen from the roof of a four-storey flats in Ipoh Timur today.

Acting Ipoh district police chief Supt Ahmad Termizi Abd Haq said the body of Hew Ken Keong, 36, was found by passers-by at about 10.30pm.

Hew was supposed to attend a court hearing today in connection with an armed robbery case, he told a media conference in Ipoh today.

He said police ruled out foul play and the body was sent to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for a post-mortem.

In another development, Ahmad Termizi said a 66-year-old woman, who was found with injuries on the head and face in her coffee shop at Lorong Bercham 4 in Ipoh last Sunday, died at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital yesterday.

Police believe the woman, of Chinese nationality, was a victim of murder-cum-robbery.
