Police have seized copies of political cartoonist Zunar's latest book, which features caricatures of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor.

More than 100 copies of ‘Ros in Kangkung Land’ were confiscated after police stopped the delivery van transporting the books.

They were supposed to be delivered to Taman Tasik Jaya, Petaling Jaya, where Zunar was to officially launch the book this afternoon.

When contacted, Zunar - whose real name is Zulkiflee Anwar Ulhaque - said he is now on alert as the police may arrest him again.

Nonetheless, Zunar struck a defiant tone, promising more similar works to come.

"Arresting is their modus operandi and I am of course concerned.

"But I will not stop and will be coming out with new books and cartoons that are even more hard-hitting," Zunar told Malaysiakini when contacted.

He added that the police have yet to notify him on their next course of action.

Zunar had spent three days in the Dang Wangi lock-up after being arrested for sedition on Tuesday.

His tweet had implied that the judges who sentenced opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to five years’ jail for sodomy, are "lackeys in black robes".

Despite the confiscation of his latest publication, Zunar gave his assurance that all those who have ordered their copy of ‘Ros in Kangkung Land’ would get their copies.

"We will reprint them, we will make sure all those who have ordered (the book) will get them," he added.

The books can still be purchased at www.zunar.my.
