Tears flow as 'March to Freedom' is announced

At a teary-eyed press conference today, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's family members revealed they would be organising a "March to Freedom" campaign.
The campaign, which is going to be spearheaded by the family members, and will be led by Anwar's second daughter Nurul Nuha.

The drive led by Anwar’s family is to fight against injustice.
At a teary-eyed press conference today, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's family members revealed they would be organising a "March to Freedom" campaign.
The campaign, which is to be spearheaded by the family members, will be led by Anwar's second daughter Nurul Nuha.
"We are going to set up a secretariat to lead the campaign to demand the release of Anwar and to fight against injustice," Nurul Nuha said.
Fighting back her tears, she added that the campaign would also include overseas trips to meet with other Malaysians to gather solidarity for her jailed father.
Among one of the other focuses of the campaign would be to question the integrity of the judiciary system.
"We have seen the injustices of the judiciary, not only in Anwar's case but other cases, like that of Lim Guan Eng and Irene Fernandez as well.
"We have to raise awareness of the people on this. Time for Malaysia to wake up," Nurul Nuha (above) added.
Meanwhile, members of the family, clearly in emotional turmoil, also revealed how they have been trying to cope with the fact Anwar was convicted again yesterday.
"The decision yesterday triggered so many memories, especially the ones that you do not want to endure again.
"We all couldn't sleep at all last night. We were talking about him, is it comfortable, how many cockroaches are there in prison," Nurul Nuha said, adding that the conviction of her father brought the family even closer with all those who had gathered at their house last night.
"This helped sit us down, like in the old times, where our family gathered to brainstorm on what to do next," Nurul Nuha added.
Anwar's fourth daughter Nurul Ilham, on the other hand, said she was reminded of her father words to be strong.
“He told us to remain strong, and don’t cry. This is not in a way that you cannot show your feelings, just to be tough and do not show them that we are weak.
“Do not show them that they are able to defeat us, because we are not defeated,” Nurul Ilham said at the press conference held at the family house in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, today.
