Selangor police have confirmed the arrest of two of its personnel following claims of sexual extortion by a private college student.

“They have been remanded and we are still investigating the case,” Selangor police chief Abdul Samah Mat told Malaysiakini today.

He said the case was being investigated under the Penal Code with regards to extortion.

The Malay Mail had reported yesterday that two police personnel had caught a couple having sex in a car at a secluded place in Kota Damansara last Monday.

Quoting a police source, the paper said the police patrol reportedly told the the 19-year old student and her boyfriend in his 20s that they were being arrested for behaving inappropriately in public.

The report further said the student begged to be let off with a warning while en route to the police station. However, the police personnel allegedly demanded RM2,000 and one of the duo then demanded sex when she agreed to pay.

However, the student reportedly declined to have sex and the police patrol let the couple go just before arriving at the Kota Damansara police station but not before taking down their personal details.

Raped in toilet

An hour later, the policeman who allegedly demanded sex from the student reportedly called her and then showed up at her hostel.

The Malay Mail report said he then took her to a secluded area and threatened to tell her parents and his superiors about the incident with her boyfriend unless she performed oral sex on him.

This time the student supposedly gave in, but mid-way through the act, the policeman stopped her and allegedly took her to the men’s toilet at the Sunway Giza mall where he raped her after which he forced her to withdraw RM500 for him.

The cop was said to have continued to harass the student for sex in the subsequent days following which she lodged a police report about her ordeal on Saturday.
