PM meets Nik Aziz, prays for speedy recovery

Putting aside political differences, Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak spent some time with PAS spiritual adviser Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian today.

Najib said on Twitter that he just finished visiting the former Kelantan menteri besar.
“Let us pray to Allah that he recovers quickly,” he added.
Nik Aziz, 84, was Kelantan MB for 23 years. He left the post after the 13th general election.
He is said to be down with prostate cancer. However he is not undergoing chemotheraphy.
The Chempaka assemblyperson, has been placed at the hospital's ICU since Jan 20.
His son Nik Abduh, who is also Pasir Mas MP, said yesterday that his father is recovering well, can already sit on a wheelchair, and is expected to return home soon.
Najib had earlier visited Kuala Krai, which was heavily damaged by the recent floods, to launch the reconstruction of houses.
