The number of flood victims staying at flood evacuation centres in three states affected by the floods dropped slightly from 27,181 last night to 27,108 as at 9.30am this morning.

In PAHANG, the number of flood victims staying at 94 evacuation centres in six affected districts remained unchanged at 18,171, since last night.

According to the Flood Operations Room of the Pahang Contingent Police Headquarters, the Pekan district was still accommodating the most number of victims at 9,961 followed by Temerloh (3,010), Maran (2,779), Kuantan (1,127), Bera (731) and Jerantut (563).

In PERAK, two more evacuation centres had been closed, leaving 26 centres still operating in five affected districts namely Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Perak Tengah, Manjung and Hilir Perak.

A spokesperson of the National Security Council (MKN), said the number of victims in the state dropped to 4,883 from 1,361 families compared with 4,956 victims from 1,385 families last night.

The number of victims in Perak Tengah was 3,766, Hilir Perak (306), Hulu Perak (594), Manjung (160) and Kuala Kangsar (57).

In KELANTAN, a spokesperson for the state MKN said the number of victims in the state remained at 4,054 since last night in four districts namely Kuala Krai (1,817), Gua Musang (1,662), Tanah Merah (387) and Machang (188).
