Muhyiddin says most Malaysians are rational
Appum: DPM Muhyiddin Yassin should show leadership by example. I would like to make a suggestion, sir. Start 2015 anew. Start by declaring yourself Malaysian first, Malay second.
I can assure you that you will redeem yourself in the eyes of all the moderate Malaysians you were referring to.
Hang Babeuf: Yes, true. Most Malaysians are rational. The problem is that so many of their politicians are not.
And as for those in the radical, rabid pressure groups (the so-called or ‘pretend’ NGOs), they are totally crazy. And the politicians, the nation's leaders, accommodate them. That is the problem.
Tanteo: This ‘Malay first, Malaysian second’ DPM speaks with fork tongue. Who is supporting "certain quarters" to sow hatred?
Enough of all these inane platitudes. We want action.

To kick off the hope that Malaysia becomes an exemplary model to others, top leaders like yourself as deputy prime minister should set a good example by not uttering that race comes first.
You Umnoputras are only good at "convincing" the rakyat during moments of crisis, making impressive declarations what and how Malaysia is today.
Refraining from under-estimating the intelligence of the rakyat and the world with your rhetoric, and stop abusing your rights, privileges and squandering the nation's coffers should serve as a good start.
The Analyser: Go check your dictionary, Muhyiddin. When most decisions are made based on religious dogma, greed and selfishness, and where common sense is almost non-existent, the chances of finding a rational Malaysian are pretty remote.

So don't try to take credit for the solidarity that Malaysians are showing. They are displaying greater maturity and leadership than the leaders themselves, and it has everything to do with their own will and desire to see a united country in spite of everything that is happening.

You are already a clueless PM as regards to financial governance, and aside from your frequent trips abroad with your wife, Rosmah Mansor, at taxpayers' expense, what programmes have you got to contribute to preserving the environment in Malaysia? Zilch!

Instead Najib should be talking about reviewing environmental laws to safeguard the forests and to legislate for stricter punitive measures to include mandatory custodial sentences on those who flout the laws.
Unfortunately, the federal and local governments are involved directly or indirectly in logging and therefore cannot absolve themselves of this essentially man-made flooding disaster.
Odin: The MB of Kelantan has denied that logging was the cause of the current floods, while Najib has said that it was - well, the rampant opening of land, too, whatever that means.
Which of them is correct does not matter. What matters is the fact that this is not the first occurrence of flooding in that state (and in those other states).
Meaning, what matters is that no one in government present and past and at both state and federal levels has had the presence of mind to be aware of the problem and the intelligence to seek a solution to it.
'Pathetic' is not appropriate enough to describe those government leaders.
Mushiro: To rebuild the flood-affected parts of Kelantan, Najib is asking the state government to cooperate and to provide a piece of land for housing.
Isn't it better and right for the federal government to allocate money directly to the Kelantan state government to build the houses?
The Kelantan state government is the government elected by the Kelantan people and given the mandate to run the affairs of the state, including housing.
The federal government should provide the yearly federal funds directly to the state government instead of channeling it to a federal agency there managed by Umno leaders who were not given the mandate by the people.
Also the federal government should pay oil royalty to the state government to be used for the people. This immature and unhealthy politics of vengeance and revenge should be stopped.
