Traffic flow along the North-South (Plus) Expressway is reportedly under control this morning except for some congestion at Pedas Linggi due to an accident.

    

A spokesperson for Plus Expressways Sdn Bhd's highway traffic control centre said traffic was slow at Km223.1 northbound from Simpang Ampat to Pedas Linggi due to the accident involving a car and a motorcycle.

    

"The accident happened at 7am, but the traffic situation in the area only returned to normal at about 9am," he added, when contacted in Kuala Lumpur today.

    

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesperson noted that overall, traffic was still smooth and under control along the tolled highways in the Klang Valley, KL-Karak Highway, East Coast Expressway and the Penang Bridge in both directions.

    

"There's no traffic crawl on the highways yet. People have not started their journey, perhaps because of the uncertain weather condition," he said, adding that traffic was expected to be heavier in the evening due to the public holiday tomorrow.
