Malaysians are easily fooled. They can be easily manipulated by the media, politicians and even their friends. Many of them base their action on hearsay rather than facts.

Tell a Malaysian that a particular stock is going up because you have insider information, and immediately he phones his remiser to buy that company's shares. Spread a rumour that a certain food item will go up in price and suddenly all housewives will stock up their pantry with that item to last six months.

When the prime minister decides to nab a politician and a businessman before the general election, everyone says that Pak Lah is a clean politician that will clean up the country.

But have there been any more arrests now that Barisan Nasional has a big mandate to govern? Are there only two corrupt persons in Malaysia?

As I say, Malaysians decide with their hearts - not with their heads.
