Condemn authorities, not Uthayakumar
I refer to the letter Uthayakumar on an ego trip. I am very sure the writer got his facts all wrong and most likely is very jealous of all the work that Uthayakumar has done and is doing.
I really wish that the writer will never have to go through the ordeals Uthayakumar has gone through. It is always easy to point fingers or accuse someone of something but it's a real joke to say that Uthayakumar had in fact 'orchestrated the assault on himself to seek cheap publicity'.
This writer should go back over the last five years of Uthayakumar's fight against police brutality and misuse of their powers especially in cases involving police custody deaths and shootings of mere suspects.
I believe the writer is merely acting on someone's ill advice and has resorted to throwing wild accusations despite there being police reports lodged and protection sought by Uthayakumar.
I am really surprised that this writer did not mentioned anything about Uthayakumar's car being damaged and also about his arrest by police in Sepang early last year. Is the writer going to say that this is also another cheap publicity stunt by Uthayakumar?
I strongly urge the writer to check all the facts first before lashing out at anyone particularly at someone who has been assaulted, who is really in fear of his life and has been denied protection by the authorities here.
The writer should in fact condemn the authorities here for failing to protect Uthayakumar in the very first place.
